Skills:

STRONG Front-End Development, Designer, and Web UX Skills. Here are some qualities that are absolute necessities for this role:

1.       HTML/CSS Skills

Responsive skill is a must. Client no longer do any work that isn't responsive. And, currently, client do not use frameworks. So, hand-coded responsive HTML/CSS is a skill they will need have.

2.       Visual Skills
Someone who can handle doing HTML and CSS for jobs that don't come with a visual reference. Meaning, if the job has no attached comp, the individual needs to have the skill to provide HTML/CSS that is visually appealing and on-brand, without a comp.

3.       Ability to provide HTML/CSS that looks like the comp.
Client has trouble, even when providing a comp, that the HTML/CSS does not match. Client need someone who can follow a comp, and provide HTML/CSS that renders looking just like the visual that has been provided.

4.       Photoshop Skill
Someone who can open Photoshop, and at the very least, know how to resize images, and maneuver through a layered PSD comp to gather important information like color, font-size, margins, padding, imagery, etc. Since client has been picking up more creative/visual work, someone with a design background, and intermediate experience with Photoshop is preferred.

Note: Before the interview client will require candidate's Design Portfolio sample work as well. So please make sure candidate must be able to submit that as well. No candidate will be forwarded to client without his/her sample design work as this is mandatory from client.
