Position:  Linux Admin for Build Team (US CITIZEN/GC ONLY)

Location:  Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 12 Months

Skills:

•        6-8 years of experience as Linux Engineer/Administrator

•        In-depth knowledge of  RHEL 6

•        Strong Linux system administration (RedHat) and troubleshooting skills.  Solid ability to troubleshoot a variety of performance issues (with cpu/mem/disk) and other problems

•        Strong understanding of init scripts, creating new filesystems, /proc and other sysadmin essentials.

•        Ability to create  custom RPM's

•        Patching of Linux Servers using yum.

•        Experience in new server builds using kick start or any other centralizes build method.

•        Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems etc.

•        Experience in Production Server Environment.

•        Knowledge on Package install (using rpm), patch management, server builds, Server upgrades, License management

•        Experience in managing enterprise Linux environment with 1000's of physical servers.

•        Experience in configuring/managing different raid levels.

•        Knowledge on TCP, UDP, DNS, NFS, DHCP, SSH, kernel tuning parameters, hard/soft link

•        Experience in any configuration management tools, like puppet, chef etc..

•        Monitoring of Linux servers using Nagios

•        Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Scripting:

•        Knowledge of BASH required

•        Prior experience writing bash scripts with 100's lines of code.

•        BASH functions, loops, command line arguments

•        Usage of AWK, SED etc.

•        Good knowledge of regular expressions

•        Script debugging

•        Networking:

•        Configuring network interfaces

•        System files which affect network configuration

•        Troubleshooting network connectivity issues

Added Advantage:

•        Experience in managing BigData Hadoop Environment.

•        VMware virtual environment, with Linux running as guest OS.

•        StackIQ management server for server builds and configuration management.

•        Knowledge on puppet configuration management tool.

•        Certification in RedHat Linux, VMware.
